About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to strengthen organizational culture, compliance, and managerial effectiveness in a fully remote environment. This newly created, solo-contributor role serves as a trusted advisor for managers on employee relations (ER) matters, providing guidance on compliance and policy, leading investigations, and designing programs to enhance engagement and workplace experience.
The Advisor will blend hands-on case management with strategic program building, establishing scalable compliance frameworks, manager enablement initiatives, and proactive engagement strategies to support a consistent and positive employee experience across the organization.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong knowledge of multi-state U.S. employment laws, experience in remote or hybrid environments, and the ability to develop systems and processes that scale with organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Investigations

Lead and manage thorough, timely investigations into workplace concerns, complaints, and policy violations.

Serve as the first point of contact for managers on ER issues, providing real-time guidance, tools, and resources.

Ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and employment laws across the organization.

Track, analyze, and report ER trends to identify risks and recommend preventative measures.
Manager Enablement & Compliance Frameworks

Build and implement scalable compliance frameworks to ensure legal and policy adherence.

Coach managers on documentation, progressive discipline, and performance management best practices.

Develop and deliver training programs on compliance, workplace conduct, and engagement strategies.

Partner with Legal to monitor and respond to changes in employment law and update policies as needed.
Employee Experience & Engagement

Design, manage, and analyze employee engagement and pulse surveys, translating results into actionable plans.

Partner with leadership to address feedback and enhance the employee experience.

Facilitate listening sessions, focus groups, and other feedback channels to proactively address workplace concerns.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Maintain ER and compliance dashboards, tracking case resolution timelines, trends, and outcomes.

Use data insights to refine processes, strengthen policy adherence, and improve the employee experience.

Establish best practices and documentation standards to ensure scalable ER and compliance processes.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
-
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred.
-
5+ years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations, compliance, and engagement programs.

Strong knowledge of multi-state U.S. employment laws and remote workforce compliance.

Experience managing or partnering with remote or hybrid teams preferred.

Proven ability to lead investigations and produce clear, objective reports.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.

Experience designing programs and frameworks that scale in high-growth environments.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
