Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse - Direct Patient Care
 

Position Type: Full-Time (FT)
Shift Availability: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); days and nights available
Compensation: $28 - $41/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Differential Pay: Available
On-Call Requirement: Yes

Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide exceptional care in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The ER RN will be responsible for rapidly assessing and responding to patient needs, developing care plans, and delivering comprehensive nursing care during emergency situations. This role requires strong collaboration with the emergency care team to ensure patients receive timely and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rapid and precise patient assessments, triage, and prioritize treatment based on the severity of conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust patient care plans in accordance with emergency needs.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments following physician orders and established protocols.
• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, such as defibrillators, ventilators, and EKG monitors.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families, providing information on treatment plans and care expectations.
• Collaborate effectively with ER physicians, specialists, and healthcare team members to manage trauma, critical care, and urgent cases.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and results.
• Execute emergency procedures, including CPR, airway management, wound care, and stabilization techniques, swiftly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Licensure & Certification:
  • Valid Multi-State RN License in the state of residence. Nurses licensed in other compact states must obtain a Multi-State RN License for the residing state within 30 days of hire.
  • Required: BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications (to be obtained within the orientation period).
  • Preferred: Advanced certifications such as ENPC, TNCC, and CEN.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in an emergency room, critical care, or acute care setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EKG monitoring or successful completion of an EKG course.

Additional Requirements:

• Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
