EBC Technology Specialist

Employment Type: Contract
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Work Environment: Onsite 2 to 3 days a week (15 - 18 hours per week)
Work Hours: Days between Monday to Friday, 7 am - 4 pm
Pay Rate: $30 - $42/hour
Contract Duration: Slated through the end of the year (12/31) with potential for extension
 

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an EBC Technology Specialist responsible for managing and troubleshooting technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues, collaborating with various departments to meet technological needs, and providing quality assurance for equipment used in presentations and executive briefings. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A deep understanding of audio-visual systems and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service are essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Technology Infrastructure Management:
    • Diagnose system-related problems accurately and timely, distinguishing between hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Collaborate with other IT operations and engineering groups to provide resolutions.
    • Identify risks, ask pertinent questions, and escalate issues as necessary.
    • Provide support to the EBC team during meetings and walk-throughs, including preparing supporting documentation.
    • Utilize a strong understanding of networking, hardware, and software to diagnose technical issues.
    • Perform troubleshooting and repair activities in an end-user environment, including PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers.

  2. Collaboration and Integration:
    • Work closely with various departments to understand and support their technological requirements for presentations and demonstrations.

  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Test equipment to ensure functionality at the start of event days.
    • Provide technical expertise and support during client visits and executive briefings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Previous experience in technical support.
  • Proficiency with video conferencing hardware and software, including codecs and infrastructure, and video walls.
  • Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, interactive displays, and collaboration tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Industry certifications in relevant technologies.
  • Experience in an executive briefing center or a similar customer-facing environment.
  • Proficient in signal flow and capable of performing root cause analysis and reading/creating line diagrams.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams, adaptability to change, and a growth mindset.
  • Typically requires a technical school certification or equivalent of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant software and hardware systems.
