Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Director of Technology in Irving, TX. The Director of Technology will be responsible for all enterprise-wide information technology including infrastructure and architecture, applications support and development, networks, telecommunications, vendor management, sourcing, project management and our data center operations.
This individual will work closely with business leaders to drive transformational change and solve operational and workflow problems using information technology and process redesign. The Director is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the vision of the organization as well as be responsible for the IT Department budgets, both capital and operating while ensuring effective service delivery for assigned areas of responsibility.

Director of Technology Job Responsibilities:
- Establishes IT strategy by collaborating with officers and senior management to set organizational vision and strategy and to determine how technology can best service the business
- Build and lead an agile and responsive team responsible for maintaining a secure and stable computing environment with maximum system availability and performance
- Cultivate a team-oriented, problem-solving culture focused on delivering quality solutions that facilitate business success
- Develop and lead a forward-looking support structure and technical infrastructure which includes on-site and cloud-based applications
- Work with Security & Compliance team to implement and maintain SOC2
- Set department goals for meeting scalability and growth needs of the company for quickly expanding dealer and product base
- Develop, optimize and measure the IT Help Desk
- Develop and enforce IT policies and standards
- Develop and maintain end-user training documentation
- Develop and advocate for the IT CapEx budgets
- Develop ongoing strategy for workforce accessibility, security and performance
- Remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization
- Manage all phases of the project, including partner integration requirements, functional validation and API validation.
- Master’s in Computer Science or Business Management
- PMP certification
- 7+ years’ experience in information systems as a director or VP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in incremental delivery with understanding of delivery metrics
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Track record of self-driven project ownership and adherence to methodology under minimum supervision
- Microsoft Project proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
