Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership
Partner with the Chief Nursing Officer to develop, implement, and assess nursing strategies that align with organizational goals.

Clinical Oversight
Provide clinical leadership to nursing teams in the cardiac and stroke post-care units, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.

Staff Development
Support staff competency and professional development through coaching, performance evaluations, and continuous education initiatives.

Operational Management
Maintain 24/7 accountability for nursing care delivery, resource allocation, and budgetary oversight across assigned units.

Quality & Safety
Promote a culture of patient safety, performance improvement, and excellence in care delivery.
Qualifications

Education
-
Associate Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor’s in a healthcare-related field or

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Master’s degree in Nursing or a healthcare-related field preferred

Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an acute care hospital setting

Prior experience as a manager or full-time charge nurse preferred

Licensure & Certifications

Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of Texas (or compact license)

Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
