Location: Joshua Tree, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday (24/7 Department Responsibility)
On-Call: Required
Salary: $135,200 – $216,320 (Based on experience)
Direct Reports: Oversight of 17 FTEs in LDRP, 1 FTE + per diem in Infusion, 1 FTE in Echo
Additional Oversight: Echo and Infusion Departments
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead the Labor and Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit . This position also oversees ECHO and Infusion departments, with primary responsibility for managing staff, budgeting, and departmental operations. The Director must have recent clinical experience and be prepared to assist staff when needed.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for the LDRP, ECHO, and Infusion departments.
- Ensure high-quality patient care by maintaining clinical standards and supporting nursing staff.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling to optimize efficiency.
- Oversee regulatory compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission requirements.
- Serve as a key member of the administrative team, collaborating on hospital-wide initiatives.
- Support staff training, development, and retention efforts.
- Ensure accurate time management and charge capture for the ECHO and Infusion departments.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment.
Education:
- Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
- 5 years of experience as an RN.
- 2 years of supervisory experience at a manager or director level.
- Recent clinical experience in labor and delivery.
- Active RN license in the state of California (or ability to obtain).
- Current CPR certification.
- Assists with lifting and moving patients (up to 25 lbs).
- Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Exposure to body fluids, infectious diseases, and emergency situations.
- Requires critical decision-making in life-threatening scenarios.
- Strong leadership and delegation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple departments effectively.
- Skilled in budgeting, finance, and operational oversight.
- Adaptable and hands-on when needed in patient care.
- Commitment to patient safety, staff engagement, and hospital excellence.
