Location: Tucson, AZ 85745
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | Director-level (24/7 Departmental Responsibility)
Compensation: $120,000–$156,000 annually + up to 10% AIP Bonus

Position Overview – Director of Telemetry/ICU
The Director of Telemetry/ICU provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple critical care departments, including:

  • ICU (64 beds, 80% average occupancy)

  • Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

  • Intermediate Care/Telemetry

  • Cardiac/Heart Surgery Services

  • Rapid Response Team

  • Code Blue Committee

  • Float Pool

  • Potential oversight of IV Team

This role is integral in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care across all critical care units. The Director is responsible for resource management, staff development, quality initiatives, and leading change across departments. This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and assumes 24/7 operational accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support 3 nurse managers and a team of approximately 120 staff members.

  • Champion initiatives related to change management, performance improvement, and patient safety.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and clinical excellence.

  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital leadership.

  • Align department operations with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best clinical practices.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing and Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field.

  • Preferred: MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in an acute care setting as a Nurse Manager, full-time Charge Nurse, or related role.

  • Strong background in ICU, Telemetry, and/or Critical Care Services.

  • Demonstrated success in change management and team development.

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Required: Active RN license in the state of Arizona or a compact state.

  • Required: BLS (CPR) Certification.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $120,000 – $156,000 (dependent on experience)

  • Annual Incentive Plan: Up to 10% AIP bonus

  • Relocation Assistance:

  • Up to $4,000 for relocations within 1,000 miles

  • Up to $8,000 for relocations over 1,000 miles

  • Potential Sign-On Bonus: May be considered (please indicate interest during submission)
