Director of Business Development – Hospice Sales

Location: Central Chicago, IL (Extensive Travel Required)
Base Salary: $90,000 - $150,000
Bonus: Available

Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Director of Business Development – Hospice Sales for our client in Chicago, IL. This role involves both in-office and field responsibilities, overseeing a large territory that includes two key branches in Rosemont and Lombard, IL. The Director will lead a team of 10 Hospice Sales Consultants, driving growth through client visits, consultant ride-alongs, and strategic sales leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 10 Hospice Sales Consultants, ensuring sales performance goals are met.
  • Conduct ride-alongs with consultants to observe client interactions and provide coaching.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key referral sources, healthcare providers, and clients.
  • Oversee territory-wide sales efforts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic growth plans, leveraging sales data and market trends.
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Executive Leadership to improve market reputation and sales outcomes.
  • Represent the company at networking events, community meetings, and industry conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Hospice Sales leadership experience required (preferred background: Director of Sales for Hospice).
  • Open to candidates from Home Health Sales with some Hospice or Long-Term Care experience.
  • Multi-site sales experience required (not limited to a single facility).
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Strong ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must reside within Central Chicago or no more than 45 minutes – 1 hour outside of the city (commuting constraints apply).
