Director, Compliance – ACO & Payor Operations
Location: Farmers Branch, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $160,000 – $180,000 annually
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Director, Compliance – ACO & Payor Operations to lead the enterprise compliance program for a large, value-based healthcare organization. This role ensures compliance with CMS regulations, managed care and payor contracts, and internal governance policies while mitigating regulatory, financial, and operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the corporate compliance program aligned with OIG and CMS requirements
- Oversee compliance for ACO programs (MSSP, ACO REACH), Medicare Advantage, and commercial payors
- Conduct enterprise risk assessments and develop compliance workplans and corrective actions
- Lead investigations into compliance concerns, fraud, waste, and abuse
- Partner cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, and Credentialing teams
- Provide reporting to executive leadership, compliance committees, and Board of Trustees
- Manage audits, including CMS, payor, and regulatory reviews
- Develop compliance training programs and promote a culture of compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience in healthcare compliance
- Experience in managed care, payor operations, or ACO/value-based environments
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, FWA, and healthcare compliance standards
- Experience with enterprise risk management and board-level reporting
Licensure and Certification
- Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large health systems, managed care organizations, or Medicare Advantage
- Background in risk-bearing or value-based care environments
