Job Title: Desktop Support Technician (Contract)
Location: Bellevue, WA (may transition to South Seattle area)
Employment Type: Contract (April 23 – June 29)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 – $28/hour
Position Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite IT support within a healthcare clinic environment. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting both clinical and administrative staff. The position will begin with a brief cross-training period and transition into independent site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide deskside support for end users, including clinicians and administrative staff
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
- Support both Windows and Mac/iOS environments
- Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management, documentation, and issue tracking
- Perform proactive rounding to identify and resolve technical issues
- Manage and prioritize support tickets to ensure timely resolution
- Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced, onsite environment
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of desktop or deskside support experience
- Experience supporting Windows and Mac/iOS environments
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, peripherals)
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- Experience supporting healthcare or clinical environments
- Familiarity with Epic (EHR system)
- Experience supporting label printers or clinical devices
Work Environment & Requirements
- Onsite role within a healthcare setting (hospital/clinic environment)
- Background check and drug screening required
- Vaccinations required due to healthcare environment, including:
- Tuberculosis (TB)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Pertussis
- Influenza
- COVID-19
- Reimbursement available for required vaccinations
