Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: up to $25/hr depending on experience
Overview
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an Asset Management Coordinator to support a fast-paced technology operations environment in Memphis, TN. This position combines warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and IT asset support responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a warehouse, inventory control, asset management, shipping/receiving, or related environment and possess a strong interest in technology. This role is responsible for managing IT equipment inventory, preparing and shipping technology assets, maintaining warehouse organization, and supporting the lifecycle of company hardware.
This is a fully onsite position requiring a highly organized individual who can work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a production-driven environment.
Position Summary
The Asset Management Coordinator supports daily warehouse and asset management operations, ensuring company technology assets are properly received, inventoried, prepared, shipped, tracked, and maintained.
This role works closely with IT Operations to support employee hardware deployments and equipment lifecycle management while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Asset Management & Inventory Control
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment, peripherals, shipping supplies, and related materials
- Track hardware assets throughout their lifecycle
- Perform inventory audits and reconciliation activities
- Ensure accurate asset records and documentation
- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs
Warehouse & Asset Management Operations
- Maintain shipping and packing supplies
- Build and prepare shipping boxes for safe transportation of equipment
- Package, label, and process outbound shipments
- Receive, organize, and store incoming inventory
- Transport and stage equipment for shipment and deployment
- Follow established warehouse and asset management procedures
- Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment
IT Equipment Support
- Prepare new hire technology kits
- Image and configure computers as needed
- Test monitors, computers, and peripheral devices
- Support deployment and recovery of IT assets
- Develop familiarity with company hardware, operating systems, and applications
- Escalate technical issues to appropriate support teams when necessary
Operational Support
- Take ownership of assigned tasks from initiation through completion
- Support process improvement initiatives related to asset management and warehouse operations
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
- Follow established operational procedures and standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, asset management, shipping/receiving, or a related environment
- Experience handling inventory, stock management, or physical assets
- Experience supporting IT hardware inventory or technology assets
- Experience with asset management systems or inventory tracking software
- Familiarity with computer hardware, monitors, laptops, and peripheral devices
- Experience imaging or configuring computers
- Previous warehouse management, inventory control, or distribution experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lift and move equipment and materials up to 25 pound
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to safely handle technology equipment and shipping materials
