Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Cybersecurity Awareness Coordinator for our client in Dallas, TX. This is a contract-to-hire position. The selected candidate will support the cybersecurity team primarily remotely, with quarterly and occasional monthly in-office meetings. Candidates must reside in or near the DFW area to attend these meetings as required.
Summary: The Cybersecurity Awareness Coordinator will develop and implement security awareness initiatives to encourage secure behavior among employees and contingent workers. This role will coordinate cybersecurity education programs, manage content, and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring up-to-date and effective materials. Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Cybersecurity Awareness Coordinator for our client in Dallas, TX. This is a contract-to-hire position. Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate the cybersecurity awareness training programs, including content updates and scheduling.
- Draft publications and coordinate with trainers and website teams to distribute cybersecurity materials.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including Learning & Development, Training, Compliance, and Project Managers to align content with institutional security policies.
- Manage institutional cybersecurity education content, timelines, and infographics for outreach initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate cybersecurity marketing campaigns and educational events.
- Ensure program documentation and security posture evidence are maintained and cataloged.
- Support operational and compliance tasks including interfacing with campus communities, managing content in ServiceNow, and maintaining the cybersecurity website.
- Assist in tracking and coordinating programmatic security requirements in collaboration with leadership and project management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- CISSP certification is required.
- Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in technology security.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse project teams and workgroups.
- Proficient in facilitation, organization, negotiation, and consultation.
