Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Controller in Anderson, South Carolina; this position will be onsite. The Controller will control and maximize return on financial assets in ensuring Group financial policies, procedures, key controls, reporting systems, external regulations and legislation are implemented and adhered to. This position oversees the entire Finance function of an entity. As a member of the Senior Management Team, the Financial Controller takes part in formulating its Business Strategies, Plans, and Budgets and advises the Management Team on the financial performance of the business.

Primary Duties
- Visit the work area frequently to ensure compliance and discuss safety issues with the team. Explain to the team that safety excellence is expected and is a requirement of employment. Encourages the team to report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions. SKNA employees regardless of level, position, or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations, and policies.
- Carry out analysis of accounting, internal control, and budget procedures, and analysis and explanation of financial results and budgets
- Controlling the application of good financial management standards internal control procedures and key controls
- Responsible for the recording of transactions, monthly closing, and distribution of financial information and explanations. This encompasses accountability for the quality, integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all reportable data
- Protect company assets through monitoring, and enforcing internal key controls
- Monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to internal and external auditors
- Comply with state, and local legal requirements and keep up to date on new legislation; anticipate future legislation; enforce adherence to requirements; file financial reports; advise management on required actions
- Monitor the adherence to key controls and report any breaches to the General Manager and his/her functional Manager
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, dealing with individuals at all levels
- Superb mathematical technical skills
- Computer proficiency - Advanced MS Office (Excel pivot tables and VLookup)
- BA degree required with a major in Finance or Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or CMA
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
