Job Description
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Contract Sr. Corporate Accountant in Dallas, TX. The Sr. Corporate Accountant is responsible for reviewing financial transactions and account statements of an organization, reconciling accounts receivable, managing accounts payable, and resolving bank discrepancies. Sr. Corporate Accountant Responsibilities:
- Monitor, record and remit management fees and JV distributions to Hospital Partners
- Analyzing Joint Venture financials and distribute monthly and quarterly report packages to Hospital Partners and various department leaders
- Perform Joint Venture equity rolls
- Preparing and collect support for external auditors
- Working closing with various members of the company’s senior management
- Working with various member of our legal department to update and reconcile ownership stats for each of our facilities, as partnership transactions occur
- Reconcile the management fees payable to our Hospital Partners and track management fee expenses, posting adjusting entries where applicable
- Preparing and posting monthly general accounting journal entries as part of the monthly close process
- Preparing various monthly account reconciliations for Hospital Partners and Corporate Accounting
- Communicating with Corporate and Hospital Partner personnel regarding the JV’s monthly and quarterly financial results
- Fulfill other duties, communicate the experience, that support the Corporate Accounting team, working directly with various team members of senior management of both the company and Hospital Partners
Sr. Corporate Accountant Requirements:
- Accounting degree preferred
- 3+ years general ledger accounting experience, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
- Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Excel Pivot tables and macros
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude
