Certified Surgical Technician (CST) – Multi-Specialty Opportunity
Location: Worcester, MA
Position Type: Full-Time (FT)
Shift Availability: Days
Compensation: $27 - $42/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus/Relocation: Available

Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join a leading surgical team in a multi-specialty operating room (OR) setting. The CST plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the availability and proper management of instrumentation, equipment, and supplies. Under the direction of an RN, the CST maintains a sterile environment and assists with intraoperative patient care to uphold the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intraoperative Support: Serve as the scrub technician during surgeries, maintaining sterile conditions and following strict infection control protocols. Prepare the OR and organize necessary instruments and equipment.
- Specialty Expertise: Act as the primary resource for assigned specialties, managing and maintaining specialty-specific instruments and supplies to facilitate efficient and safe surgical procedures.
- Supply and Equipment Management: Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and supplies for procedures, assist in decontamination processes, and restock OR rooms as needed. Ensure organized and accessible equipment storage.
- On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call shifts to provide surgical support as needed across a variety of specialties and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a post-high school vocational or specialized training program in surgical technology.
- Experience: Prior experience in an OR setting is preferred.
- Certification and Licensure:
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program required.
- CST certification preferred.
- BLS certification required.
