Job Description
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Georgetown, TX
Schedule: Monday–Friday; start and end times vary (typically 6:00 AM–3:00 PM with some flexibility).
Pay: $34–$37/hour (DOE).
No on-call or weekend shifts.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). As a CST, you will play a vital role in assisting physicians during surgical procedures, ensuring the operating room is prepared and running smoothly, and delivering high-quality care to patients. Our ASC is a newly built, modern facility with large operating rooms, new equipment, and convenient access to major roads with free ground-level parking. We pride ourselves on having the highest patient satisfaction among regional centers and being ranked second in staff and physician satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures in specialties such as Ortho, Spine, ENT, General, and Ophthalmology. Preference for candidates with Spine surgery experience.
- Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
- Monitor and manage PAR levels of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Perform instrument and needle counts before and after procedures.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Participate in staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an approved Operating Room Technical School (certification preferred) with at least  1 year of experience in a hospital or ASC setting as a CST.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- National Certified Surgical Tech Certification.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of instruments, surgical techniques, and isolation protocols.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English (additional languages preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and the ability to provide age-appropriate care.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare team members.
