Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join a dynamic surgical team in a multi-specialty operating room (OR) setting. The CST is an essential member of the surgical team, responsible for preparing and maintaining a sterile environment and supporting surgical procedures with precision. The CST works collaboratively with RNs and other surgical personnel to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Intraoperative Support: Perform scrub duties during surgical procedures, maintaining sterile conditions and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Prepare the OR with necessary instruments and equipment tailored to multi-specialty surgeries.
• Specialty Expertise: Act as the primary resource for assigned surgical specialties, ensuring that specialty-specific instruments, equipment, and supplies are readily available and organized for efficient surgical support.
• Supply and Equipment Management: Prepare, organize, and manage surgical instruments and supplies for procedures, assist in equipment decontamination, and restock OR rooms post-procedure.
• On-Call Duties: Participate in on-call shifts as assigned to provide critical surgical support across various specialties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of a post-high school vocational or specialized training program in surgical technology.
• Experience: Previous operating room experience preferred.
• Certification and Licensure:
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program required.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
