Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a busy Pain and GI-focused Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Appleton, WI. The ideal candidate will be skilled in surgical preparation, assisting physicians during procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and flexible enough to rotate across different physicians and specialties.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, drapes, and sterile solutions.

Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control practices throughout surgical procedures.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and assist with passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.

Rotate between multiple providers and adapt to a variety of procedures within Pain Management and GI Endoscopy.

Complete sterile processing duties in a compact, well-organized sterile processing area as needed.

Assist with turnover and cleaning of surgical suites between cases.

Document procedures accurately:

Paper charting for Pain and Eye procedures.

Electronic documentation for GI procedures.

Collaborate closely with nursing, anesthesia, and surgical teams to ensure seamless case flow and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
-
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
-
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
-
Current BLS certification required.

Minimum of 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred; ASC or experience in Pain or GI specialties a plus.

Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, and operating room protocols.

Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

Flexible and adaptable to varied start times and rotating surgeon schedules.

Sterile Processing: Basic sterile processing duties are required and handled within a small, organized space.

Work Environment: Team-oriented, patient-focused ASC specializing in high-volume Pain and GI procedures.
