Cath Lab Tech, FT DAY

Job Title: Cath Lab Technician (Cath Lab Tech)
Location: Bartlett, TN
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Day Shift Only
Openings: 3
Pay Rate: $28.00–$38.00 per hour (based on years of experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Generous sign-on bonus paid out over 24 months
On-Call Requirements:
12–15 on-call shifts per month. Candidates must live within a 30-minute driving distance of the facility.
Job Summary:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced Cath Lab Technicians to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This role performs direct and indirect patient care functions and assists physicians and clinical staff with the technical and clinical aspects of cardiovascular services. The Cath Lab Technician scrubs, monitors, and circulates for invasive procedures, supports cardiac alerts including STEMI cases, and assists with equipment and inventory management.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform scrub, monitor, and circulating duties for invasive cardiac procedures. Assist physicians and clinical staff with clinical and technical aspects of cardiovascular care. Participate in cardiac alerts and STEMI cases. Complete pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient assessments. Assess physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of patients and communicate changes in condition to nursing staff and physicians. Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient needs and scheduled procedures. Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures. Operate x-ray equipment to obtain required imaging views, including storing and printing images. Prioritize patient care based on acuity and available resources. Respond appropriately to emergency patient care situations. Assist with setup, insertion, monitoring, and care of intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and temporary and permanent pacemakers. Assist with Cath Lab equipment setup and monitoring. Support inventory control and equipment maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Graduate of a formal program in Radiology, Cardiovascular Technology, or an equivalent field. Completion of a Basic EKG (Electrocardiogram) course is required.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a Cardiac Catheterization Lab or Cardiac Intervention Lab is required. One year of experience providing cardiac catheterization and radiology care is preferred.
Certification Requirements:
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required at time of hire. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within 6 months of hire. Preferred certifications include ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), CVT (Cardiovascular Technologist), or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
