Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
Location: Delray Beach, FL
Position Type: Full-Time (FT)
Shift Availability: Multiple shifts (Days/Nights)
Compensation: $30 - $46/hr (Depending on Experience)
Sign-On Bonus/Relocation: Up to $30,000
Shift Differential: Available
On-Call Requirement: Yes
Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a highly skilled Certified Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to join a dedicated surgical services team. The CVOR RN will play a crucial role in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to provide the highest quality of perioperative nursing care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Perioperative Care: Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, develop personalized care plans, and implement and evaluate nursing interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
- Surgical Roles: Serve as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or second assistant during cardiovascular surgeries. Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and ensure a safe surgical environment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Partner effectively with the surgical team, maintaining proactive communication to anticipate and meet the needs of both the patient and the surgical team.
- Equipment Management: Prepare and operate cardiovascular surgical equipment, ensure proper sterilization, and manage inventory to comply with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Minimum: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience: Previous experience in cardiovascular or perioperative nursing preferred.
- Licensure and Certifications:
- Active RN license in Florida.
- AHA BLS and PALS certifications required.
- CNOR certification preferred.
