CT Technologist
Location: Detroit, MI

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join a nationally recognized healthcare facility in Detroit, MI. This specialty hospital is known for clinical excellence and advanced technology, offering an exceptional work environment for imaging professionals. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in patient diagnostics, working closely with radiologists and other medical staff to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform computed tomography (CT) scans in accordance with physician orders and standardized protocols.
- Verify patient identity and review medical history, screening for contraindications such as contrast allergies, pregnancy, or implanted devices.
- Clearly explain procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Accurately position patients and calibrate equipment to capture optimal images with minimal radiation exposure.
- Review images for diagnostic quality, document exceptions, and communicate urgent findings to radiologists when necessary.
- Administer contrast agents under appropriate supervision and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of imaging procedures in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance, patient satisfaction initiatives, and department workflow improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to students or new technologists as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
- Certification:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and CT.
- Licensure: Must meet state regulatory requirements for radiologic technologists.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or obtained during orientation.
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in CT imaging preferred; strong new grads with clinical training will be considered.
- Skills: Excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication with both patients and care teams.

- Successful completion of a background check
- Drug screening
- Compliance with facility immunization and health requirements
