Job Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking experienced MRI, CT, or Radiologic Technologists to join a distinguished facility recognized for its innovative approach to surgery, medicine, and clinical research. This specialty referral hospital boasts Centers of Excellence in neurosciences, bariatric surgery, vascular services, cardiovascular services, hypertension management, stroke prevention, and heart failure care.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations in compliance with established procedures and protocols.
- Confirm patient identity and review medical records to ensure the exam's appropriateness.
- Conduct patient interviews to gather and update medical history; assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, or psychological indicators.
- Explain the procedure, including potential side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up requirements.
- Prepare imaging equipment and capture high-quality diagnostic images; document any deviations and communicate observations to the radiologist.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Engage in process improvement activities, including quality of care, patient flow management, and patient satisfaction.
- Provide training and education to residents, student technologists, and new staff.
- Fulfill on-call/standby duties as needed by the department.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), or certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- BLS Certification: Completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider training by the end of the orientation period is required.
- Experience: Minimum of one year as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or with advanced certification in MRI.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screening.
