Position Overview:
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an Administrative Specialist to join our client’s team in Newport Beach, CA. This fully in-office role requires a candidate with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills to provide support in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in healthcare administration and be familiar with medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls professionally.
- Serve as the front desk point of contact for patients and visitors.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Type, copy, and distribute correspondence or forms as required.
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Work on special ongoing and nonrecurring projects as assigned.
- Adhere to scheduled working hours and ensure punctual attendance.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient and family information.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- Prior experience in a medical office setting strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
- Comfort and sensitivity in dealing with home health patients and their families.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook required).
- Expert-level Excel skills are preferred.

Soft Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and coworkers.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage confidential information.
- Positive and professional demeanor, especially in a fast-paced environment.
