About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced HR Systems Operations Manager to lead HR operations during a high-growth period. This fully remote role will drive day-to-day HR operations, HR system implementations, process design, project management, and cross-functional coordination across a multi-state workforce of hourly and salaried employees. The role provides critical oversight for UKG and Lattice systems, performance management cycles, benefits and leave administration, and HR support during M&A activities.

About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking an experienced HR Systems Operations Manager to lead HR operations during a high-growth period. This fully remote role will drive day-to-day HR operations, HR system implementations, process design, project management, and cross-functional coordination across a multi-state workforce of hourly and salaried employees. The role provides critical oversight for UKG and Lattice systems, performance management cycles, benefits and leave administration, and HR support during M&A activities.
Key Responsibilities
HR Systems & Implementations
-
Partner with project leads to oversee UKG and Lattice implementations, ensuring timelines, risk management, and go-live readiness.

Manage scheduling, dependency tracking, status updates, risk/issue logs, and launch checklists.

Support communication, training plans, adoption metrics, and day-1 support for HR systems.

Establish change control processes for HR systems including intake, impact review, UAT, and release notes.
Performance Management
-
Operationalize performance review cycles in Lattice, including templates, workflows, and manager enablement.

Launch interim review frameworks and prepare quarterly check-ins.
Core HR Operations

Design and implement standard offboarding processes.

Manage HR helpdesk transition to ticketing systems, including triage, SLAs, dashboards, and escalation paths.

Develop a knowledge base of SOPs and templates for HR processes (leave, offboarding, job changes, manager checklists, communications).
Benefits & Leave Administration

Recruit and onboard a Benefits & Leave Administrator.

Draft interim SOPs for leave administration (FMLA, STD, LTD), accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
M&A Support (as needed)

Participate in HR due diligence, Day-1/Day-30 integration planning, workforce transitions, and coordination with Legal, Finance, and IT teams.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Serve as the day-to-day liaison with IT, Payroll, Benefits TPA, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and M&A workstream leads.

Ensure clean handoffs, data integrity, and on-time deliverables.
Qualifications
-
7–10+ years in HR Operations, preferably in high-growth or multi-entity environments.

Hands-on experience with HR system implementations (UKG, Lattice, or similar).

Strong process design, change management, and project management skills.
-
Executive-level communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
-
Experience managing a multi-state workforce (hourly and salaried employees).
Preferred / Nice to Have:

M&A HR workstream experience.

Exposure to self-funded benefits.

HR helpdesk SLAs and reporting/analytics experience (Excel, Looker, Tableau).
