Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to support a fast-growing waste management and sustainability company in the Addison/North Dallas area. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with approximately two years of hands-on experience. The position begins as a temporary assignment with the potential for extension based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including posting transactions and maintaining accurate financial records

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Conduct bank and account reconciliations
-
Assist with month-end close processes

Track expenses and validate supporting documentation

Help scrub and identify duplicate payments in the system

Provide support for reporting, audits, and cross-departmental requests

Contribute to process improvements within accounting and operations
Qualifications
-
Approximately 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles

Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar preferred)

Experience with Excel; ability to analyze and interpret data
-
High attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work fully onsite and collaborate with multiple departments
