Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Clerk II
Location: Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time | Onsite | Contract-to-hire
Pay Range: $24.04 – $26.44 per hour (based on experience)
Overview:
The Accounting Clerk II will focus primarily on Accounts Payable (AP) processing in a high-volume environment, working closely with vendors to support onboarding and purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will bring several years of AP experience, a strong understanding of invoice processing for goods and services, and the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with vendors during onboarding, including collecting required documents and setting up payment terms.
- Monitor and resolve invoice discrepancies, working with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain complete and organized records for all AP transactions.
- Prepare and update account reconciliations to reflect processed transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing by preparing AP reports and reconciliations.
- Assist with expense report compliance review and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline AP workflow
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
- Experience with SAP Business One preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
