Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shift starting between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM CST
Work Environment: Hybrid – Onsite Monday–Thursday / Remote Fridays
About the Role
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking four (4) AR Representatives III – Hospital Denials Specialists for a healthcare client based in Plano, TX. This is a contract-to-hire role with a hybrid schedule and the opportunity to join a high-performing team in a brand-new office with onsite amenities, including a fitness center.
As an AR Rep III, you will take ownership of moderately complex hospital insurance denials and underpayments, mentor junior representatives, and work within a fast-paced, technology-enabled revenue cycle operation. Candidates must have direct experience with hospital denials and UB-04 forms to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Resolve moderately complex insurance denials and underpayments using Rubixis AR software
-
Work assigned accounts independently from start to finish in a timely, accurate manner

Contact healthcare insurance companies and providers to resolve payment or contract-related issues

Analyze claims, billing data, pricing, and collections to ensure compliance and reimbursement accuracy

Investigate payment discrepancies, variances, and shortfalls in expected reimbursements

Collaborate with leadership to identify patterns, trends, and process improvement opportunities
-
Act as a mentor and resource for Rep I and Rep II level team members
Qualifications
-
5+ years of hospital billing and follow-up experience in an acute care or large facility setting
-
Strong understanding of insurance denials resolution and reimbursement guidelines
-
Proficiency in UB-04 facility claims and pricing/reimbursement analysis
-
Familiarity with revenue cycle functions and claim follow-up workflows

Working knowledge of systems such as EPIC, Paragon, Zirmed, or similar billing platforms
-
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and investigative skills
-
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices
Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
-
2+ years experience in contract/reimbursement variance analysis
-
Advanced understanding of facility reimbursement contracts, fee schedules, and denial coding
-
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
