Wheeler Staffing Partners has partnered with a strong, growing, dynamic leader in its industry. We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for a leading Engineering company in Plano, TX. They have a great management team, a comfortable work environment, and a history of promoting from within.  The ideal candidates will have the requirements below.  We also have a great referral program. 

 

Summary:

The Process Engineer provides advanced engineering and process design support. Responsible for developing and maintaining process specifications, design information and quality assurance documents related to the integrity, cost and scheduling requirements for water treatment systems and related components.

 

Responsibilities:
  • The Process Engineer analyzes specifications and contract documents to determine characteristics of the job and to establish engineering objectives
  • Reviews all firm (price) proposals and submittals for quality assurance purposes
  • Provides technical assistance to Sales and Product Support
  • The Process Engineer develops and maintains process specifications, design information and quality assurance documents related to the integrity, cost and scheduling requirements
  • Prepare Mass Balance, Sequence of Operation and Function Logic of water treatment equipment and systems
  • Work with Automation Engineers on PLC programming and control concepts
  • The Process Engineer will support startup and commissioning of water treatment equipment and systems
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned as required

 

Qualifications:
  • Degree in the chemical or environmental engineering discipline is required from an
  • accredited university or other related qualified training,
  • Three (3) years related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret process & instrumentation diagrams, mechanical & structural drawings, and specifications.
  • Requires knowledge of applicable codes, tables and standard reference books used for design wastewater treatment facilities and relevant piping, electrical, instrumentation and mechanical equipment used in such designs.
  • Ability to understand and both read, write and converse in English at an advanced level.
  • Knowledge in German and French languages preferred.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual
  • and practical problems.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to a variety of complex, nonstandard situations.

 

Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel: customer, supplier and job sites
